Hugh is Performa’s Founder & Senior Director having founded the firm in 1992. With more than 30 years of captive insurance experience, he provides senior relationship management and captive insurance expertise to many of the firm’s offshore clients and is a frequent speaker at the Bermuda and Cayman captive conferences and industry events.  Prior to forming Performa in 1992, he was Vice President and Director of Offshore Marketing for The Matuschka Group, a large global asset management company with offices in Munich, Zurich and London. He began his career at IBM in 1983 where he was responsible for marketing the firm’s products to multinational insurance companies. Hugh graduated from Hobart College with a B.A. in Economics.
